Everybody is willing to do whatever it takesThe moment of truth has finally arrived. The Kvalserien is here, and I can tell you that the Malmo Redhawks are ready to take on the challenges that are coming ahead. All the hard work that we have done throughout the season has brought us to this point, a chance to get back into the Eliteserien.
We know that the playoffs are a whole new season, and it doesn't matter what we've accomplished in the past. We also understand that the five teams we play will have the same goal as we do, and in the end it will come down to who wants it the most. I can assure you that we are ready, confident, determined, and excited for the games to start.
It's important to us as a team to bring the club back to where it belongs, the Eliteserien. It is a challenge that we will take to heart. This is the reason why hockey players love the game, because in the end you want to be number one. The easiest thing to do in sports is to lose, and the hardest thing is to win. Anybody can give up, but not everybody is ready to pay the price. That's what I like about our team, everybody is willing to do whatever it takes to be successful.
It's not every year that a hockey team gets to play for a championship, and it does not matter if it is the Stanley Cup, the Eliteserien championship, or the Kvalserien. You must take advantage of your situation, because it could be a long time before you get a second chance.
I'm looking forward to the next ten games, because I know it will be a hard fought battle from start to finish. In the end, if we succeed in our quest, than I will be proud to say that I was part of the 2006 Malmo Redhawks who brought this city back into the Eliteserien.
